UNEP did a global press release, which was publicised on the Google Earth blog. Then we won the International Digital Earth 3D Visualisation Grand Challenge, and our project was recognised at the Fifth International Symposium on Digital Earth on June in San Francisco. We have presented the Atlas at many conferences, including the UNEP Governing Council meeting held in Februarywhich generated a lot of excitement among senior environmental officials from all over the world.
